Getting to the dinner at Veles e Vents (marina)
From the Hotel (Olympia Universidades)
By Tram
- Walk to the Benimaclet tram station. Take Line 4 (direction Doctor Lluch) or Line 6 (direction Marítim).
- Get off at: Grau La Marina.
From the UPV Campus (each workshop day)
On foot
- There will be an opportunity to join a social walk from UPV to Veles e Vents.
Everyone is welcome to join.
By Tram
- Take Line 6 (direction Marítim).
- Important Note: Although Line 4 passes the campus, it takes a long scenic loop around the beach
before reaching the harbor. Line 6 is the direct route to the dinner venue.
- Get off at: Grau La Marina.
Arrival Tip: Once you step off the tram at Grau La Marina, you will see the Marina directly ahead.
The dinner venue, Veles e Vents, is the unmistakable, large white building with wide,
overlapping terraces located right at the water’s edge (about a 5-minute walk from the stop).
Moving within the city
Valencia is a very walkable city with an efficient public transport network (Metrovalencia and EMT buses).
Public Transport Cards: We recommend purchasing a SUMA card at any metro station or licensed kiosk (estanco).
A SUMA 10 (10 trips) is the most cost-effective way to get around; it is a single card that can be shared between
multiple people and works for the Metro, Tram, and local buses.
Important: Travel & Expense Policy
Please be advised of the following regarding workshop expenses:
Due to specific grant and funding regulations,
the organization will not reimburse any local transportation costs. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Metro and tram tickets/cards.
- Taxi, Uber, or Cabify fares.
- Airport parking or private shuttle services.
Only travel and accommodation booked directly through the official travel agency are covered by the workshop
budget. Any other local transport expenses incurred during your stay must be covered personally by the participant.
